Due to the catastrofic situation provoked in the Hospital Regional Honorio Delgado, and in view of the support that they always has offered for the development of our campaigns (plastic surgery projects), it is that we decided to donate immediatly the necessary medical materials for the surgical attention of its patients, that includes sutures, cannulas, endotraqueales tubes, among others. We laments much the happened thing and reaffirms the commitment with the childhood and the Arequipeña society, to be able to offer better medical aid every time to them.Debido a la situación suscitada en el Hospital Regional Honorio Delgado, y en vista del apoyo que siempre nos ha brindado el citado Hospital para el desarrollo de nuestras campañas de operación gratuita a niños con Labio Leporino, es que nos vemos en la imperiosa necesidad de solidarizarnos con la situación de emergencia y apoyar a esta institución para que pueda continuar con sus actividades.
Por tal motivo Paz Holandesa efectúa la donación de insumos y equipos necesarios para la atención quirúrgica de sus pacientes, que incluye suturas, cánulas, esparadrapo, tubos endotraqueales, entre otros.

Asociación Paz Holandesa lamenta mucho lo ocurrido y reafirma el compromiso con la niñez y la sociedad Arequipeña, para poder brindarles cada vez mejor ayuda médica.Gisteren hebben we aan het Hospital Regional Honorio Delgado in Arequipa een donatie gedaan van medische materialen, zoals hechtingen, tubes, steriele handschoenen, operatiemesjes etc.etc.
De laatste weken is dit (grootste) ziekenhuis in de stad en regio Arequipa in een acute situatie geraakt van het niet meer kunnen uitvoeren van operaties, vanwege het ontbreken van de benodigde financiën om medische materialen te kunnen aankopen.
Daar wij een zeer nauw contact met hen onderhouden, onze operatieprojecten van 2009 en ook dit jaar worden in dit ziekenhuis uitgevoerd en uit solidariteit met de bevolking van Arequipa, hebben we dan ook gisteren meteen actie ondernomen om in ieder geval te zorgen dat men over medische materialen kan beschikken om de patienten te helpen.

Already 80 children for our upcoming operation projects

For our upcoming plastic-surgery operation projects in october and november of this year, we have already selected 80 children. The majority of them are younger then one year, born with a harelip or cleftplate and never been operated before. We keep you posted about their developments and treatments.

Last sunday Piet Willems organised a Benefit concert ShantyMen Kaap Hoorn in the Oosterkerk in Hoorn.
The church was full and the public enjoyed the concert. They raised 1500 euro!!! Have a look at the pictures of this event. Of behalf of PAZ-Holandesa I would like to thank you all in Hoorn for your efforts!

Dit alles georganiseerd door Piet Willems, gepensioneerd gynaecoloog van het Westfries Gasthuis, die zich sinds enkele jaren volledig inzet zowel in Nederland als Peru, voor de stichting Westfriesland Helpt Peru en PAZ-Holandesa. Het resultaat mag er zijn, ruim 1500,- euro bracht het concert op. Klik hier voor meer foto’s.
